John + Kaeli
Friends who turned into lovers.
We have our former Austin roommates to thank for us meeting!
The Future Bride + Groom met in 2018 when Kaeli moved to Austin, Texas.
At the time of Kaeli's ATX move, her former roommate
was dating John's roommate and introduced Kaeli to John.
John was a ATX resident at the time, but not available.
John + Kaeli both found each other attractive but remained great friends.
Their relationship turning point came at the end of 2019 when they both had
the mutual feeling that there was something more there than a solid friendship.
They continued to progress and COVID 2020 solidified their relationship as they
had so much fun with one another.
They share a mutual love for the water, concerts + pizza.
A match made in Heaven. ♡

METROPOLITAN SAN JUAN /
METRO /
Discover amazing food, drinks, and shops while exploring the urban side of Puerto Rico, where history and culture intersect with bustling city life.
The metropolitan area refers to seven towns that make up the urban “downtown” of Puerto Rico, including the capital, San Juan, a city with over 500 years of history.
HISTORICAL LANDMARKS /
The Old World comes alive at fortresses like El Morro and San Cristóbal. These impressive citadels are part of the San Juan National Historic Site and are two of the largest fortifications built by the Spaniards in the Caribbean during the 16th century. Other important landmarks include Museo Casa Blanca (the one-time residence of the family of Juan Ponce de León that was built in 1521), the San Juan Cathedral, the Santa María Magdalena de Pazzis Cemetery, and the Museo de las Américas.
NIGHTLIFE /
Old San Juan’s vibrant nightlife is waiting at spots like La Factoría, one of the top 50 bars in the world; La Taberna Lúpulo, pioneers in Puerto Rican micro-brewing; or Los Tres Cuernos, where you can take a chichaíto shot in many flavors. Puerto Rico is the home of the piña colada and since there are competing claims whether it was invented at Barrachina or the Caribe Hilton, you should try both.
In Santurce, Calle Loíza is a street known for its great bar-hopping. Make sure to stop at Piso Viejo to check out their live bands and salsa classes, and El Tap to try their 15 local beers on tap. Also, don’t miss La Placita de Santurce, the area’s famous market known for its live music and great dancing, where you join the party in the bars or on the street.
BEACHES /
ISLA VERDE BEACH
Although not officially part of the capital city of San Juan, a quick 15 minutes drive east, you can enjoy Isla Verde Beach, a recently acclaimed best city beach in the Caribbean. This lively and beautiful beach is popular for water sports, safe for swimming, and a favorite place to learn how to surf for families with children. What is often referred to as Isla Verde Beach is actually three beaches, each with distinct traits.
You can get to Isla Verde with a quick and inexpensive Uber ride from San Juan. When you are hungry, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from within walking distance of the beach. Isla Verde is just a 5 minute drive from the SJU Airport.
Fun Fact: This is where John + Kaeli enjoyed local pineapple & rum drinks. Make sure to bring cash as most pop-up shops do not take card!
Extra Fun Fact: This beach is in the backyard of the hotels in the 'Where To Stay /' Tab.
